FOOTBALL: Horncastle Town seconds ready for final

Horncastle Town reserve team manager Jamie Lamming will be hoping the league form book is thrown out of the window when his side meet Fulbeck United in the Amateur Cup Final tomorrow (Thursday).

The two sides clash at Lincoln Moorlands ground (ko: 7pm) with Fulbeck installed as strong favourites.

They are currently third in the WJ Harrison Printers League and have been beaten just four times all season.

In contrast, Town are struggling in next-to-bottom place and have won just two of their 18 league fixtures.

Lamming, though, is confident his side can pull off a win and repeat their success in a cup final at the end of last season.

A slight worry for Lamming is Town have not played a league game for a couple of weeks, but he should have a strong squad available with the likes of skipper Scott Maplethorpe, Jack Baxter and Lewis Burchnall key figures.
