The World Cup may be over for England....but the build-up to a new campaign for Horncastle Town’s players has just started.

More than 40 of them returned to the first pre-season training in midweek and manager Paul Johnson will put them through their paces at another session tomorrow (Saturday).

It is being held at Oak Meadow from 10am to 12 noon.

The session is for the first, second and development team squads. All new players are welcome.

Meanwhile, Town have been drawn at Boston League outfit Wyberton FC in the first round of the Challenge Cup. The winners will travel to Louth Town Reserves in round two.

Next season’s Supplementary Cup will be played in a group format. Town have been drawn in Group B alongside Skegness Town and Nettleham.
