FOOTBALL: Horncastle Town ready for Boston test

Horncastle Town will be hoping for a bumper crowd tonight (Tuesday) when they entertain Boston United U21s in the annual John Rawdon Memorial match at The Wong (7.30pm).

Town are expected to field a strong side against a Boston line-up managed by former Wongers’ first team boss Glen Maddison.

Boston could include some players with Conference experience including first team striker Marc Newsham.

Newsham has scored over 100 goals for the club so if he does play, Town’s defence will have to be on top form.

Town will check on the fitness of several squad members before finalising their side but will be looking to build on last Saturday’s 3-2 success against Humbertherm with ex-Boston striker Mickey Stones grabbing a late winner.

*Town’s clubhouse will be open from 6.30pm for food and drinks.
