Horncastle Town duo Tony Edwards and Michael Harness will be hoping for call-ups to the latest Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League squad.

The squad has battled through to the quarter finals of the FA Inter-League Cup and will entertain the Humber Premier League at Lincoln United’s NTR Stadium on January 25.

Edwards and Harness have figured in earlier stages of the competition with striker Edwards grabbing one of the goals in a win in the previous round.

The match will feature the cream of Lincolnshire’s amateur footballers as they continue the quest to represent England in Europe - a reward for the winners of the competition.

Managed by Louth Town boss Paul Walden, the Lincolnshire squad will be hoping to improve on a quarter-final defeat they suffered at the hands of the Cheshire League on the same ground two years ago.

The Sills and Betteridge League’s programme of fixtures on January 25 have been postponed in a bid to boost the attendance for the tie.
