Horncastle Town boss Paul Johnson will be hoping his side can continue their promising start to the new Sills and Betteridge League season when they visit Skegness United tomorrow (Saturday).

Goals from summer signing Richard Jackson and Michael Harness helped Town open their campaign with a 2-0 win at Nettleham last Saturday.

Town will face a much tougher examination against Skegness who kicked off their own season in winning style, beating Louth Reserves 3-0.

Johnson will again have a strong squad on duty with Jamie Lamming, James Melia and Scott Wilson all pushing for starting places.

The trio came on as second half substitutes at Nettleham and played a key role in Town’s victory.

It is, of course, a big weekend for Town with the opening of their new £400,000 clubhouse complex on Sunday and Monday at The Wong.

The official ceremony will be held at 1pm on Sunday and the day will also feature a series of junior challenge matches against Woodhall Spa.

On Monday, the action continues with a veterans match between Town and Woodhall.
