FOOTBALL: Horncastle run riot at Methringham

HORNCASTLE Town’s visit to Metheringham in the Lincolnshire Intermediate Football League could not have gone much better at the weekend as they ran out 8–0 winners.

A hat–trick from James Parkinson and goals from Harry Shroud, Matt Dalton, Jacob Wilson, George Wells and Harry Simmons meant it was time to celebrate and no doubt it will give the squad a confidence boost ahead of their game away to Kirkstead on Sunday.

Woodhall Spa did not fair as well at home to Nettleham, going down 4–1. They will be looking to bounce back against Hykeham Tigers Bees this weekend.
