Horncastle based AFC Harpars will be involved in one of the games of the day tomorrow in the Sills and Betteridge Sunday League when they entertain arch rivals Trent Valley.

The two sides meet at Horncastle Playing Fields (10.45) in a game which could have a major bearing on the outcome of the Division Three title.

Harpars have led the table for most of the season but saw their lead cut by Trent Valley to pour points last weekend.

Harpars did not have a game and Trent Valley took full advantage to register a 3-1 win at Home Guard Branston. Ominously, Trent Valley also have three games in hand.

Top scorer Michael Harness will be a key figure in Harpars’ plans alongside fellow striker Jack Baxter.

In other games tomorrow, Wragby FC will be desperate for three points when they entertain Golden Cross FC.

Wragby have seen their title hopes slip away in recent weeks and are seven points behind leaders Hykeham.

In Division Two, Woodhall Spa United were knocked off top spot last weekend but don’t have a game tomorrow.

They will be keeping an eye on third placed Travellers Rest who are only four points adrift with two games in hand.
