An unusual second-half equaliser ensured that the points would be shared between Coningsby FC and Woodhall Spa United after their league fixture this weekend.
Coningsby made the trip to Abbey Lane and took the lead after 25 minutes when Sam Brader put in a perfect long cross from Tom Sewell.
Brader had a chance to extend his side’s lead, but his long volley at an open goal went just the wrong side of the post.
Neither side took command of the game as players were more interested in trying each other out for the whole match.
After the hour mark Spa drew level after a wind-assisted cross from the wing sailed into the net.
The strength of the wind threw off Coningsby’s defence and the ball curved and bounced goalwards to level the scores at 1-1.
