Horncastle Town could be boosted by the return of Chris Johnson and Scott Wilson ahead of their clash at Sills and Betteridge Premier Division champions Skegness Town tomorrow (Saturday).

Both players were missing from last Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Skegness United but boss Paul Johnson hopes to add them to his squad tomorrow.

Town came with seconds of victory last Saturday but a late equaliser from home marksman Ryan O’Loughlin dashed their hopes.

Johnson, though, was delighted with his side’s performance and believes they could present a challenge to the champions.

He said: “We’ve got to go into the game with a positive attitude.

“Skegness are always tough on their own ground and I’m sure they will be there or thereabouts in the title race because they’ve got a very good squad.

“But we’ve strengthened ourselves this season so it promises to be a good test for us.”

Skengess have started their title defence in impressive style although they nhad to settle for a 1-0 win at home to newcomers Wyberton last Saturday.

The ‘Seasiders’ top the table and have still to concede a goal.

Johnson could be reluctant to make changes to his starting line-up with the back four of Steve Lovett, Andrew Shinn, Scott Lowman and Steve Brown particularly impressive last week.

*Town’s reserves complete their friendly programme tomorrow when they entertain the Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service at The Wong (3pm).
