Coningsby welcomed Freiston Reserves to the Allan Barker Field in a rescheduled Boston Taylors Service Garages Division One fixture, sharing the points in a 1-1 draw after a fluke equaliser.

Scoring chances popped up from the off and Coningsby took the lead through Lee Gemmell after 25 minutes.

Gemmell put a long, low shot into the right hand corner of the net for the only goal of the first half.

The second half was a scrappy affair with Coningsby hitting the crossbar twice.

Frieston captain Mark Crozier was sent off for a punch, adding to the referee’s already busy afternoon.

Just before the final whistle the visitors got their equaliser by tapping in a freak deflection that rebounded off the post.
