Coningsby FC overcame icy conditions as they soundly beat Rippingale and Folkingham 3-0 at the Allan Barker Field.

Despite a largely uneventful first half Coningsby took the lead just before the break with a superb free kick from Mark Wheatley.

Sam Brader then put the home side 2-0 up by chipping a shot over the head of Rippingale’s goalkeeper and substitute Tom Sewell wrapped up the game with a 30-yard volley into the bottom of the net.

The result leaves Coningsby in seventh place in the league, just a point behind Fosdyke with a game in hand.

Their next fixture is at home to Pointon Reserves who are just below them in the Boston Taylors Service Garages Division One.
