FOOTBALL: Boston League sides look for a Festive boost

Local footballers will discover tomorrow (Saturday) whether they tucked away too much turkey over Christmas.

Four local sides will be in action in the Boston and District League - weather and hangovers permitting.

In the Premier Division, Woodhall Spa United are scheduled to entertain Billinghay Athletic at Abbey Lane.

Spa’s management will be keen to build on last Saturday’s 4-1 win at Mareham United.

Spa are still next-to-bottom in the top flight table but have games in hand on all their rivals.

In Division One, Coningsby will be looking to consolidate their challenge for a top five place when they host Freiston.

Coningsby are seven points adrift of Sleaford Colts - the side immediately above them in the table - but they have four games in hand.

Both AFC Tetford’s sides face trick games tomorrow, In Division Two, the first team travel to Billinghay Athletic Reserves while eh Reserves host Park United in Division Three.
