CONINGSBY first XI were hosts to Wyberton Reserves on Saturday for their first home league game of the season.

The small gathering of spectators were in for a treat. The first half of the game was certainly eventful, both sides scoring two goals and missing a penalty and Coningsby giving the crossbar a resounding crack.

A quarter of an hour into the second half saw Wyberton go into the lead, but their joy was not to last.

With time fast running out the home team scored twice in four minutes. Three of the Coningsby goals had come from the boot of recent signing Danny McNamara.
