Woodhall Spa Cricket Club’s 2nd XI were made to fight for their win as they took on Long Sutton at Jubilee Park.
Opening batsmen Rob Bee and Jack Timby hit 100 runs between them, with Timby top scoring on 64 as Spa set a total of 225.
In reply, the visitors lost some early wickets, losing their opening three batsmen for just eight runs before Paul Edgeller hit a superb 107.
Lewis Holmes took six wickets for 45 runs as Spa held on and bowled Long Sutton all out for 191.
Ben McCarrick made a half century for Woodhall, finishing on 52 before being bowled, and Danny Wells hit 23 runs, including two fours and one six.
Matthew Haslam also took three wickets, as Spa’s bowling unit restricted seven of Long Sutton’s batsmen to a total of just 13 runs.
The Sunday 2nd XI also won at the weekend, beating Bassingham by 52 runs.
Paul Timby was Spa’s top scorer finishing on 85 not out.
