Horncastle come up just short

HORNCASTLE 1st XI was left without a game for the second successive week, following Hykeham’s withdrawal from the league.

The Sunday XI did take to the field at the weekend when they entertained Marshall down at Coronation Walk.

The visitors were put into bat and were restricted to 132 runs off 40 overs.

In return Horncastle just came up short by three runs, losing their tenth and final wicket with the score on 129.

This coming weekend the Saturday first team return to league duties with an away trip to Market Rasen, while the second team have a home game against Louth in the RP Smith Transport Friendly League.
