Three Woodhall Spa players are included in the Lincolnshire squad for their second group fixture in the Minor Counties knock-out competition against Shropshire at Shrewsbury on Sunday.

The trio are batsmen Jonny Cheer and Sam Evison and all rounder Matthew Sargeant.

Cheer and Sargeant both played in Lincolnshire’s opening clash of the season against Cumberland at Woodhall Spa last week.

That game resulted in a heavy defeat and if Lincolnshire do make changes, opening batsman Evison could get the call.

Like Cheer, he has spent the winter playing in Australian club cricket and has started the campaign in impressive style.

Because of the Shropshire game, Evison, Cheer and Sargeant will miss Woodhall Spa’s National Cup game against Caythopre at Jubilee Park on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Shropshire match is a must win affair for Lincolnshire, if they are to progress to the quarter finals stages.
