Woodhall Spa duo Matthew Sargeant and Jonny Cheer could be on familiar ground when Lincolnshire begin their 2014 campaign on Sunday.
The county takes on Cumberland in a one day knockout contest at Jubilee Park, Woodhall Spa (11am start).
That is the home ground of all-rounder Sargeant and batting ace Cheer who are in the Lincolnshire squad for the clash.
Both players were in outstanding form last season and have helped Woodhall Spa make a winning start to 2014.
After playing Cumberland, Lincolnshire will visit Shropshire at Shrewsbury where they lost narrowly last year before hosting Northumberland at Bracebridge Heath.
Their final group game is against Cheshire at Bramhall with the top two teams going through to the quarter finals.
Lincolnshire will be captained this season by former Nottinghamshire, Northants and Worcestershire pace bowler, David Lucas who returns to the county after a lengthy spell in the first class game.
Another welcome return to the squad is Cleethorpes all rounder, Alex Osmond, whose bowling will add much needed variety to the attack.
As in 2013, the squad will have a very youthful look about it and competition for places is wide open with several other Woodhall players thought to be in contention.
Lincolnshire fielded the youngest Minor Counties teams in England last year and this is a policy that will be continued.
The retirement of their ever present wicketkeeper, Oliver Burford, has left a vacancy in that role and there are a number of young players competing for the position.
Tom Brooks, of Appleby Frodingham, has been selected as keeper for the fixture against Cumberland.
The full squad is:- David Lucas (Captain), Brett Houston, Anish Patel, Karanjit Bansal, Conrad Louth, Jonny Cheer, Matthew Sargeant, Alex Osmond, Tom Brooks,Matthew Carter, Adam Shepherd, Ross Carnelley and Lewis Bramley.
In the Minor County Championship, Sleaford, Cleethorpes and Grantham will again stage Lincolnshire’s three home fixtures with Staffordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire the respective visitors.
