Woodhall Spa skipper Jack Luffman will be hoping his side can step up their challenge for the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League title when they visit rock bottom Market Rasen tomorrow (Saturday).
Fourth-placed Woodhall will go into the clash as strong favourites but Luffman is warning they could face a tough battle.
He said: “Teams aren’t playing in the Premier League for no reason. There are no bad sides and we know Market Rasen are fighting for their lives.
“We’re under no illusions that every game will be difficult.”
Woodhall produced an impressive display to beat Billingborough - another struggling side - last Saturday.
All rounder Matthew Sargeant is a doubt with a niggling back problem and Woodhall will check on his fitness before finalising their side.
Woodhall are within striking distance of top-of-the-table Bourne who entertain Billingborough tomorrow.
Second placed Bracebridge Heath visit Skegness while third placed club Market Deeping entertain Spalding.
Luffman added: “We’re in a decent position but we know from experience that the league isn’t won in June or July.”
Woodhall led the title battle for most of last season only to be pipped for the trophy on the very final day of the campaign.
