Louth won the toss and elected to bat at Woodhall Spa’s Jubilee Park.

Laurence Scott reached 13 before he went lbw off a Joe Irving delivery, and fellow opener Richard Bell was caught and bowled by Malinga Bandara, the first of his five wicket haul.

Irving claimed his second wicket when Jack Timby caught John Medler for a duck, whilst Etienne Botha bowled Jason Collinson for 15.

Amila Wettasinghe accrued Louth’s joint top scoring 38 before he went lbw to Bandara. Graham West also notched up 38 when he was bowled by Jack Cooke. Lewis Holmes bowled Tom Corden out for a duck.

Bandara claimed his third wicket when Jack Luffman caught Stewart West for 22 and his fourth came when Nic Keast (4) was caught by Matthew Wooldridge. His fifth wicket saw Phil Nicholson stumped by Timby for two runs.

Woodhall Spa’s reply saw opener Jack Luffman carry his bat for 85 runs, with his tally including 15 fours.

A star with the ball, fellow opener Bandara was caught for a duck by Bell off a Wettasinghe delivery.

Ricky Lovelace bolstered the score with a useful 36 before he was caught by Andy Carrington off a Keast ball. Botha (5) went lbw to Keast and the same man bowled Wooldridge for 14.

Luffman and Christopher Anderson (2no) remained unbeaten as Spa reached their target in 36.2 overs.
