CRICKET: Title blow for battling Revesby

Revesby Cricket Club saw their hopes of snatching the Fist Division title in the Chattertons McKinnells League suffer a blow last Sunday when they suffered a narrow defeat against Scothern.

Defending a total of 147-8, Revesby’s bowlers put up a tough fight but were unable to prevent Scothern from taking the spoils by three wickets.

The result left Revesby in second place, two points behind leaders Morton who grabbed a one wicket win at Cherry Willingham seconds.

Revesby don’t have a game tomorrow (Sunday) but Woodhall Spa are in action in the same division and visit Boston Seconds.

Woodhall are in third place in the table but have a game in hand on both Revesby and Morton.

*Woodhall’s Sunday second team are also in action in Division Three tomorrow when they entertain Sleaford Academy.
