Horncastle appear to have a golden chance to climb the Lincolnshire County League First Division table tomorrow (Saturday) when they entertain fellow Division One strugglers Hartsholme at Coronation Walk.

Skipper Nick Paige and his players were well beaten by Holton-le-Clay last Saturday - a result that left them next to bottom in the table.

Paige will be hoping his batsman can fire on all cylinders tomorrow against Hartsholme who are just one place above Horncastle in the table.

Chasing a total of 205-7 last week, Horncastle were whipped out for less than 100 and Paige needs runs right down the order to support a determined bowling attack.

It is a double bill of action at Coronation Walk this weekend as Horncastle’s Sunday team are also at home against Nocton in Division Three of the Chattertons McKinnells League.

Horncastle will be looking to build on last Sunday’s nailbiting one wicket win against Bracebridge Heath seconds.
