There has been continued Kwik Cricket success for a Lincolnshire team, which came third in the national north finals.
St Andrew’s Church of England Primary School in Woodhall Spa reached the finals of the competition, which took place in Harrogate. They played two matches winning the first by the narrow margin of 231 to 230 against Northumberland, and secondly with the result of 283 runs to 253 against Pool from Yorkshire.
The team were then through to the penultimate round of the finals, where they lost by 26 runs to North Wales team, St Peter’s Primary, which had a very strong side of excellent bowlers and fielders.
St Andrew’s eventually came in joint third, receiving bronze medals.
The St Andrew’s team demonstrated wonderful teamwork, superb bowling, batting, catching and fielding throughout the day.
