Woodhall Spa’s big hitting all rounder Matty Sargeant had Lincoln and District League officials searching for the record books after smashing a dazzling double century on Sunday.
The Lincolnshire star - who has suffered something of a frustrating season because of injury - crashed a superb 211 not out to set up a victory against Division One rivals Owmby.
Sargeant peppered just about every inch of the boundary - and a good many beyond it - to power title chasing Woodhall to 288-4.
Shell-shocked Owmby at least showed some pride in their reply and closed with 167-7.
*Woodhall’s Sunday second team were also celebrating victory after beating Division Three rivals Nocton by 65 runs.
Ben McCarrick hit five fours and a six in his 54 to top score for Woodhall in a total of 169-8. Danny Wells (34) and Peter Epton (26) lent good support.
Jackson Draper (4-19) and Kieran Richardson (3-29) shone with the ball as Nocton were dismissed for 104.
