HORNCASTLE Tennis Club's men's team faced Bourne at home on Saturday and won 8-1.
Karl Sutton and Dan Freeman won all three of their matches in convincing style - only dropping a few games all afternoon.
James Degnan and Ian Craig also won all their matches and the youngest pairing of Jonathan Clark and Andrew Neal from the Friday night Teen Squad won two out of three.
The ladies first team played at Spalding on Saturday and lost 6-3.
Each pair won one rubber and two of the other matches were lost on tie breaks.
Shirley Sutton and Emma Lamyman started well with a 6-1, 6-1 win and took the first set in the next match 6-2 but ended up losing the remaining sets of the afternoon.
Julie Hillsmith played with Jessica Nugent and they improved as the afternoon went on and won their last match in fine form, due mainly to some great movement around the court.
Cynthia Goodacre and Mireya McRury played some good solid tennis and their final match was very close – 7-6, 6-7 (11-9 tie break).
The ladies second team travelled to Grimsby on Sunday and returned with a 6-3 win.
Jeanette Sreedharan and Vic Fiddies won all three of their rubbers, Yvonne Thomas and Karen Stott won two and Di Jones and Di Lancaster won one.
