CONINGSBY Football Club held its presentation night in the gardens of the Black Swan.
It was a tough start to the season for the new look team with Carl Wall and Stephen Bowen returning as manager and assistant manager respectively.

But all went well in the end with the side winning the Boston League for the first time since 1996.

Carl said: "Well it has been a season of ups and downs, with virtually a brand new set of players it was going to take time to jell, pre-season was promising and the players were hoping of a good steady season and build for the next few seasons.

"We had a good run in the County Cup but disappointed with the other cups but the main thing is we won the league.

"I hope we can carry on next season keep the majority of players add a bit more strength and defend the league and do a bit better in the cups.

"It's always going to be hard as other teams will improve and want to beat us, with Stanley Barker passing away also I hope we have made him proud by winning the league in his memory and keep driving on for success."

The awards were presented by Coningsby's mayor, Coun Paddy Donnellan.
