SPA captain Steve Scott won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first.
The pitch looked in perfect condition but obviously it would still do a lot for the opening bowlers if they bowled in the right areas as it was still early May.

Louth were bowled out with the final ball of the 41st over for 172, a total which the home side were quietly confident of overcoming.
Aaran Onyon was the pick of the bowlers and returned figures of 4 for 44 off 13 overs.

Onyon was supported well by his other bowlers, spinners Matthew Haslam and Steve Scott who took two wickets each.

Skipper Scott was inspirational in introducing Conrad Louth into the attack in the middle of the innings as he took two wickets in the space of five deliveries.

Louth was to go on to bat superbly well and score not only his maiden century for the club but also the first hundred scored by a Woodhall player at Premier League level.

His century of course contributed to a magnificent Woodhall Spa victory which keeps the club after three rounds on top of the league.

After losing the early wicket of Lovelace, Jack Luffman and Louth put together a second wicket partnership of 97 which took the game totally away from Louth CC.

Louth had to leave at the end of the game as he was involved in the Lincolnshire squad who were travelling to Dorset in the next round of the Minor Counties Cup Competition.

Woodhall are due to travel to Sleaford on Saturday, May 10, for their next ECB match.
