AFTER losing two of the four games and dropping four points at home to Ruskington on the previous day to win that match 6–4, Coningsby took a team to Great Hale for an away fixture in the Ruskington League.
On mat one, Dennis and Brenda Crabtree, playing with Arthur Brown went 2–0 down in the first end and found themselves behind 3–4 after five ends.

They then took all of the remaining ends in this game, running out the winners by 15 points to 4.

On the other mat, Kath Forrest, Brian Linaker and Mo Hawkins dropped a point in the third end, and again in the last end, but otherwise took control of this game, winning nine ends, including a five in the fifth end, for a convincing 20–2 win.

The home trios changed mats and opponents, and the trend continued.

Mo, Kath and Brian again won most of the ends, although their different opponents did score seven points, but with high scores in five of their seven winning ends, Coningsby again won convincingly 15 – 7.

Dennis, Brenda and Arthur also upped their game in the second half, allowing their opponents to score only one point in the second end, scoring strongly in all the other ends to win by 22 points to 1.

Coningsby therefore took all ten league points from this important match with an impressive 73 – 14 (+59) aggregate score over the four games.
