Coningsby U16s finish season with a draw

FOR their last ever game as a team Coningsby Youth U16s were at home to Welton U16s B team.
Welton were largely in command at the start of the game but were unable to capitalise on the chances they created.


Mid way into the first half Coningsby lost a man to a dubious red card but this seemed to spur the rest of the team on to greater efforts to the extent that they were obviously commanding the play after the break.


Like the visitors, however, they were frustrated in their attempts to find the net. So the final score of the final match was 0-0, a score that is very rarely recorded on the Allan Barker Field.
