HORNCASTLE Town U11s gained a derby victory at Woodhall Spa with a last minute goal from Jordan Boal.
The win puts the boys, sponsored by Abbey Joinery, in the runners up spot although another game against Woodhall may still be needed to decide the final league positions.

Spa started the brighter side and took a deserved lead through prolific goal scorer Kyle Baines-Parkinson.

Mid way through the half George Swift equalised with a great header from Harry Simmons corner kick.

After the break it was end to end stuff, Woodhall going close when Horncastle keeper Tom Lea tipped a shot onto the bar and then moments later again Woodhall hit the woodwork.

At the other end Jack Ingall and Sam Johnson both went close. But just as the game looked like it was heading for a draw Jordan Boal took a great touch in the box before firing past Spa keeper Matthew Green.

Both teams should take credit for a highly entertaining game played in very good spirit.

Horncastle team: Thomas Lea, Jack Ingall, Harry Elmhirst, Dan Dalton, William Burton, Teddy Kavanagh, George Swift, Harry Simmons, Joe Wilkinson, Sam Johnson, Chris Bruntlett, Jordan Boal, Joel Hughes, Tyler Allison.
