A poem about Holt Lane

EDITOR - In times of yore and otters nest did sit out to the east.

And up by side did wander every man and beast

As time wore on the path did the same,

So around the time of Winceby it was known as Holt Lane.

For centuries a scenic walk up side of Thunker drain,

And if council decide, it may well again

Help school children make their way happily to Bowl Alley Lane.

And young expectant mums avoid a route march in the rain

And maybe if we get enough, we’ll see yore otter around the Bain.
