The Wolds Bikers have handed over their latest donations to Horncastle based LIVES - and the Notts and Lincs Air Ambulance.

It follows a highly successful charity night at the Coach and Horses pub in Billinghay.

An estimated 2,000 bikers attended the event with well-known Lincolnshire band Gin House supplying the entertainment.

Organiser John Smith, speaking the charity night, said: “We’ve raised money for LIVES (Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service) from day one and as of today, we have raised approximately £16,000 for our local group.

“In 2011, we added Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and our chairman, Dave Hoyle, presented both organisations with cheques for £250 each from this year’s fundraising. In addition, we raised some £800 tonight.”
