A warrant has been put out for the arrest of Lynn McCoubrey, 62, of Marine Avenue in Sutton on Sea, after she failed to appear at Skegness Magistrates’ Court to face three charges.

The charges allege that McCoubrey stole food and dry goods worth £57.75 from the Spar shop in Sutton on Sea’s High Street on November 22.

It is also alleged that, on the same day and in the same street, McCoubrey had an offensive weapon – namely a Stanley knife – with which she unlawfully and intentionally threatened two men, one of whom was a police officer.

McCoubrey had been due to appear at Skegness Magistrates’ Court on December 8, but did not appear and an arrest warrant was issued.

Police executed the warrant, but the defendant did not appear in court after she was taken ill while in the cells at Skegness Police Station.

Following this, McCoubrey was due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on December 29, but again she failed to appear.

The warrant for McCoubrey’s arrest was subsequently reissued by the court.
