Volunteers from Horncastle Group Parishes rolled up their sleeves to give the Church of St Peter in Low Toynton a good clean-up.
The small greenstone Grade II listed church, which is in private ownership, had been seen looking a little worse for wear of late.
With this in mind, the team got to work – only to find that local landowner Mike Chatterton had hit on the same idea and had already done a great deal of work clearing fallen trees from the grounds.
There is a lot more work to do, but at least it is no longer a forgotten churchyard.
Volunteers Edward Jones, Michael Hieatt and the Rev Charles Patrick are pictured alongside Mr Chatterton.
