An annual black tie ball has once again given local good causes a major boost.
The Farmers’ Ball was held at the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa on Friday, January 17.
Attended by 400 people, organisers hope that this year’s event will raise at least £4,500.
The money is still being counted but will be donated to around six charitable causes in the Horncastle and Woodhall Spa area.
Sue Needham, chairman of the organising committee, said the event had been a huge success and thanked everyone who had helped to organise the ball and all those who had donated so generously.
Visitors to the ball were pleased that it was a bit warmer than last year’s soiree, when thick snow fell.
A presentation to the elected good causes will be made by the ball committee later this year.
