One of the sunniest days of the year saw the crowds turn out to enjoy Open Farm Sunday at Minting Park Farm.
This was the third year the farm has taken part in the national event organised by Linking Environment And Farming (LEAF) and there was plenty on offer for the whole family to enjoy.
Around 300 people stepped inside the farm gate to take the opportunity to look around the working stock and arable farm.
All ages delighted in being able to get up close to the cattle, pigs and sheep.
There were even competitions to guess the weight of the bull and Henry the pig.
Children in particular also spent a long time watching the antics of the piglets.
The award-winning farm shop was kept busy throughout the day, as was the farmhouse kitchen, which opened in November last year.
The farm shop’s normal opening hours are Thursday and Saturday, 9am to 4pm.
More details at www.mintingparkfarm.co.uk, follow the farm on Facebook or call 01526 398373 or 07775 628259.
If you missed this year’s event, make a note in your diary for June 11, 2017, when the Farm will be taking part in next year’s Open Farm Sunday.
