Graham Island,33, Darren Trapmore,32, and Ryan Benson, 34, who are members of Louth Golf Club are aiming to tackle three full rounds go golf at the golf club in Horncastle and will then finish off with a final round at Louth Golf Club in Crowtree Lane.

The four rounds will cost consist of the full 18 holes and the lads are aiming to do this in just one day on Saturday, June 20.

Graham explained: “We have decided to raise funds for Macmillan because it is a charity that is close to all three of our hearts as each one of us has lost someone close to cancer. We’re really looking forward to the challenge and hope the weather stays good so we can raise at least £500.

The trio only recently joined Louth Club in January and are keen to taken the sport seriously after deciding to swap their football boots to golf clubs.

“We all used to play football, but we have now decided to step away from the fast-paced game and slow it down a little with some enjoyable round of golf instead,” Graham added.
