An elderly woman who collapsed following a stroke at a bus stop is appealing for the couple who helped her and contacted her daughter to get in touch, via the Horncastle News, so she can thank them.

Pauline Eke, 75, from Woodhall Spa was waiting to get the Number five bus from Boston on September 3 at about 1pm when her legs gave way and she became confused.

She said: ”People wanted to get an ambulance but I wanted to get on the bus. The driver said he would take care of me. The bus goes past the Pilgrim Hospital so they took me in. The passengers were lovely. A couple took me into A&E. Somehow my daughter appeared. She took the couple’s number but lost it. I’d like to thank them, and the other passengers as well as the wonderful bus crew who helped me.”
