When Lincolnshire Blood Bike volunteer Tony Tempest decided to raise funds for the organisation, he got on his bike.
Together with fellow bikers, Tony teamed up with the Crown public house in Horncastle to organise a day to remember.
The bikers set off from Willingham Woods near Market Rasen on a 62-mile journey through the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The final destination was the Crown pub where landladies Michelle Lowe and Tracey Hanley put on a barbecue.
All the riders paid £10 for the day and helped by a grand prize raffle, the result was a £350 for Blood Bike funds.
Tony visited the Crown last Thursday and is pictured above presenting the cheque to Michelle.
He said: “It was a great day and I’d just like to thank everyone who supported us by either taking part in the ride or donating raffle prizes.
“I’d especially like to thank the Crown for all their efforts. They were brilliant.”
Michelle said the pub was delighted to help.
She explained: “We hope they will be back next year. Blood bikers do a brilliant job. They really do save lives.”
