Three ram raids have occurred overnight (March 21-22) in Tealby, Horncastle and Hainton - and it is suspected that a stolen white Ford Ranger pick-up truck from Little Cawthorpe on March 1-2 may have been involved.

A commercial garage in Rasen Road, Tealby, was reported to police at 11.10pm yesterday (March 21) after the alarm sounded when a vehicle rammed into the shop and reception area of the garage. Substantial damage was caused to the premises, and is not currently known what has been stolen. (Incident 442 of March 21).

The second ram raid, at an agricultural machinery and equipment dealership in West Street, Horncastle, was reported at 1.49am today. Damage was caused to the building but it is not thought that anything has been stolen. (Incident 17 of March 22).

The similar ram raid, at a farm building in Torrington Road, Hainton, was reported at 5.54am today. It is believed that the ram raid occurred a few hours earlier, at around 11.30pm yesterday. Nothing was stolen from the premises. (Incident 32 of March 22).

Inspector Richard Myszczyszyn of Louth Police said,: “We suspect that these offences are connected and that the same vehicle was involved in all three.

“We ask that anyone who saw the offences take place or who saw anything suspicious in the vicinity of the three premises in the days leading up to the crimes get in touch. We are also keen to know where the stolen pick-up is now, and where it may have been since it was stolen.”
