The ‘Queen of Ices’ has been frozen out of a visit to the Cottage Museum in Woodhall Spa next Wednesday - because of illness.
The Victorian ice-cream maker has been scheduled to perform a demonstration.
A museum spokeswoman said: “We hope that our Victorian visitor will make a speedy recovery and we look forward to welcoming her at the Museum towards the end of August.”
Instead, the museum will be organising a family ‘Fun and Games’ session at the Museum for next Wednesday (July 29) from 10.30am – 12.30pm.
Weather permitting, there will be garden games in the Museum garden and patio area.
Inside the Community Room, there will be board games, colouring. In addition, visitors can design their own ‘Snakes and Ladders’ game.
Children must be accompanied and admission is by donation.
The spokeswoman added: “We look forward to welcoming you at the Cottage Museum and don’t forget to lookout for a new date when we will welcome the ‘Queen of Ices’”.
The current Activity Programme is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the Museum redevelopment project.
