Horncastle Flower Club is marking its 25th anniversary and celebrations came to a climax with a special evening arranged by the committee and given free to 120 members and guests.

Banavollum school hall was turned into “a posh tea room,” where tables were laid with an array of china cups and saucers, napkins in a range of sweet pea shades, topped with a vase of sweet peas. The anniversary cake was made and iced by Ros Rickard .

Joining them was NAFAS National Chairman Sue Brinton, Area President Judy Crips, Area Chairman Moira Galloway and the club’s very first demonstrator Joyce Grimley to the event.

Pat Rowett ,founder proposed the toast giving a short resume of the formation of the club and paying tribute to dedicated members who had served on the committee for many years.

Members then enjoyed a demonstration by Lorena Dyer, entitled “Romance”.
