A Tattershall woman and her four legged best friend are on the way to the world’s most prestigious dog show Crufts after winning a national competition.

After winning a semi-final at London’s biggest dog event, Discover Dogs, Wizz,
a crossbreed Landowner Claire Stanton, are on
their way to the famous Scruffts Family Crossbreed Dog of the Year final at the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts.

Wizz, won the Prettiest Bitch class in the main
ring at Earls Court and Wizz and Claire are now on their way to Crufts next March where they will compete against the five other class winners.

After their win, Claire
said: “I’m so shocked. She’s such a fantastic dog and she’s done so well.

“She is one in a million and I love her to bits. We’re very excited about going to Crufts next year.”

Throughout the year, heats of the popular Scruffts contest, which is supported by pet food makers James Wellbeloved, have taken place at events around the country in search of crossbreeds
with that extra special something.

1,337 dogs have taken part in the Scruffts heats this year, raising over £4,000 for the Kennel Club Charitable Trust and each event’s chosen charity.

Six winners were
chosen over the weekend, qualifying for the Scruffts final at Crufts and winning some treats from James Wellbeloved.

James Wellbeloved marketing manager,
Anne-Laure Jaouën said: “We are so pleased to see Claire and Wizz going through to the Scruffts final at Crufts next year.

“The competition was hotter than ever, and we’d like to congratulate everyone who took part through the heats and semi-final stages.

“All these dogs and their owners are so special; we are sure that the winner is going to be quite exceptional”.
