There was a familiar looking face among the hundreds of Santas which took part in the annual Festive Fun Run around Lincoln on Sunday.
Local County Councillor Bill Aron pulled on his red-and-white costume - and certainly put his best foot forward.
Coun Aron, who is current chairman of Lincolnshire County Council, took part in the event to raise funds for LIVES, the Horncastle based charity.
And, thanks to some generous backing, he looks to have topped his target figure.
Coun Aron said: “I’m really pleased to confirm that I have raised just over £1,000 - including gift aid - for LIVES.
“I want to thank everyone for their superb support.”
The Santa run was held around the castle and cathedral.
According to sources, Coun Aron had been in special training for the event, which covered around two miles.
Earlier this year, he handed over a cheque to LIVES who are the chosen charity in his year in office.
He said: “They do an absolutely fantastic job across the entire county.
“The fact they are based in Horncastle makes them the ideal charity for me to support.”
