Regulars at the One Stop store in Horncastle might have to look twice when they are served by manager Sadie Burton Melling.

She has taken on a completely new look - after having her head shaved to raise money for Macmillan Cancer.

Up until a few days ago, Sadie sported waist length hair but is no the proud owner of a very short crew cut!

Sadie ‘braved the shave’ at the town’s Bull Hotel after deciding to raise money for Macmillan and the Nottingham Neo Natal Unit.

She explained one of her work colleagues , Carla Walker, had a son who was born 16 weeks early.

Sadie said: “He is still receiving treatment at the unit and is one of its longest staying patients.”

Sadie also donated her ‘shorn’ hair to the Little Princess Trust which makes wigs for children who are undergoing treatment.

She added: “I’m helping three very worthwhile
causes.

“It does feel a bit strange without my hair but it has been worthwhile.”

Sadie‘s e fforts have already raised more than £1,100 and she thanked everyone who has supported her.

l The One Stop store is running a raffle to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital in memory of a local girl, Debbie Ward.

The prize is a handmade bird table. Tickers are £1.
