A major terminal care charity has received more than £1,600 thanks to the generosity of local shoppers and supermarkets.

Wearing silly hats and bright yellow tabards, the volunteers have collected a record sum this year.

The Horncastle Fundraising Group for Marie Curie Cancer Care is very grateful to everyone who supported them.

At the Lincolnshire Co-op store in Coningsby, collectors put in long hours. In Woodhall Spa, volunteers collected at the Co-op while ladies of the Inner Wheel did a street collection.

In Horncastle, the town’s Lions manned the table kindly provided by Tesco.
