Horncastle could be in line for a long-awaited coach park - with the help from one of the town’s supermarkets.
Town councillors heard that Tesco had agreed ‘in principle’ to make land available for a coach park at the rear of their store.
Town clerk Gillian Mauger said she had written to Tesco regarding making the land available.
She told councillors at a meeting last week that she had received an encouraging reply.
She said Tesco thought that a coach park was a good idea added but wanted more time to discuss the matter.
Councillors heard it is unlikely to be any charge for coaches using the park because Tesco - and not East Lindsey District Council - own the land.
ELDC own the car park in front of the supermarket and customers have to pay a charge which is reimbursed by the store.
