Officials behind the Horncastle Neighbourhood Development Plan are urging residents to submit their thoughts on a key document.

Every household in the town has received a copy of a draft policy consultation document, which relates to future planning issues in the town. The closing date for returns is Wednesday September 17.

A spokesman said: “We’ve had about 200 consultations returned. If you’ve got one lying around please fill it in and drop it back to Perkins newsagents, the Library or the Joseph Banks Centre.”

Anyone who hasn’t received or who has lost their document can download another from the Horncastle Neighbourhood Development Plan website: http://horncastleneighbourhooddevelopmentplan.co.uk.

People returning the document also have a chance to win a Google Nexus Tablet 7.

The spokesman added: “We need to know what people think as we’re getting closer to finalising our plan. Policies have been formed based on consultations we’ve done so far and this is the last step before we review everyone’s comments.”

Results of the consultation and information on the next stage of the process will be available for inspection at Stanhope Hall on October 31 and Saturday November 1.
