A ‘change of use’ application has been submitted to East Lindsey District Council this month, which - if approved - would be the first step towards providing a new wine bar with hot and cold food on offer, to eat in or take away.

A justification statement, submitted alongside the application form, stated: “The proposals are to fully utilise the whole of the existing ground floor with necessary re-configuration of the spaces to provide for the requisite kitchen area, disabled toilet, servery/bar area and customer seating.

“The premises is to be used primarily as a wine bar with ancillary hot and cold food on offer to eat in and take away.”

According to the document, the existing residential flat over the proposed wine bar would ‘remain unaffected’ by the plans.
