Hidden away in garages all over Lincolnshire are hundreds of classic cars, motor cycles, vans and lorries that were once a common sight on the county’s roads – and they will be again next spring, when Woodhall Spa becomes the focus for the second annual County Wheels show.

Last year, organisers were taken by surprise when more than 600 special vehicles converged on Woodhall’s Jubilee Park to be admired by large crowds of visitors, and it’s expected the 2016 event on Sunday April 24 will be no different.

“We’ve no doubt this will be Lincolnshire’s largest free classic vehicle show, and we’re gearing up to make it memorable for everyone who wants to come,” said organiser Malcolm Brown.

Last year saw significant contributions being made by classic vehicle clubs and special provisions will be made for them this year too. “Club members are the life blood of the classic vehicle movement, which is why we’re going all out to help them to help us be part of our day,” added Malcolm.

“Clubs which pre-book and tell us how many vehicles they’ll be bringing will be given dedicated display space in the Park to show off their cars to best advantage.”

There will be no public parking in Jubilee Park on the day as organisers are confident the area will be filled with exhibitors’ vehicles, charged at £5 each.

“Sadly we can’t do it for nothing,’’ said Malcom.

and need to cover our costs,” said Malcolm.

“But it’s a not-for-profit event, so any cash surplus will be given to charity.”

The event will be a full day of entertainment for the whole family, with live music, trade stands, and children’s activities.
