It was with such great sadness that family, friends and neighbours heard of the death of Stephen (Steve) Kent, who passed away at Lincoln County Hospital, aged 55.

Steve was born in Lincoln and moved to Welton at the age of 11.

Upon leaving school in 1976, he worked at Plastic Box in Market Rasen, before moving to the former Wragby Plastics, where he worked for 18 years, until they closed.

It was while there he met his wife Jenny.

Gaining employment with RPC Containers at Market Rasen again, (previously Plastic Box), he worked for them for nine years until he left and took up employment with E H Thorne at Rand in 2003 in the engineers department, until his death.

Steve had always had a very keen interest in cars, motor bikes and was a qualified motorbike instructor.

He is survived by his wife Jenny, son Daniel and daughter Amy.

Sadly, his mother Bridget Kent was unable to attend the funeral and very sadly passed away shortly after.
